Training

In 2005, I was employed as a full time Spa Trainer in a chain of Spas in Singapore. Since then, I have accumulated training experiences in various massage styles, body scrub techniques, body detoxification, facial and slimming procedures, ear candling processes and such. In my spare time, I am also a freelance massage therapist. To date, I have chalked up more than thousand hours in body therapy work, and I have treated a few hundred customers over the past few years, including participants and delegates of corporate clients like IBM and Microsoft as part of their conference and seminar programs.
I have been given the opportunity to conduct NSRS (National Skills Recognition System) massage courses, CIBTAC Diploma in A&P (Anatomy and Physiology) courses, workshops and assessments both in Singapore and overseas.

Most people have the impression that performing massage must be very tiring and strenuous. Actually it is not that bad. As a trainer for the past few years, I realized that the right posture, the proper use of body weight, good control of the pressure applied on certain muscles, and a thorough understanding of the techniques when performing massage are definitely essential. I always remind my students that "you have to learn how to protect yourself physically before you can help others." I have seen many cases of practitioners suffering from chronic problems like lower back aches, stiff joints, muscle strain, muscle spasm etc after performing massages.
The process of learning massage or spa treatments is always fun and inspiring, and it is definitely a joy to treat your loved ones to it. As a therapist and trainer, I believe massage is not just about physically helping someone. In fact, most of the time, it can be a platform to show affection, to build bonds, deepen trust and strengthen relationships among people.
